Clauses

1. Scope. These clauses govern your use of this website and any booking arranged through it. Using the site or submitting the form constitutes acceptance of them.
2. Our role. KC Garage Door Tech operates a booking and dispatch service. The garage door work is executed by independent contractors operating under their own business registration and their own insurance. The contract for the physical work is formed between you and that contractor. The arrangement is set out at referral marketing disclosure.
3. Quotations. Figures published on this site are ranges for the Kansas side of the metro, stated to assist budgeting. They are not offers. A binding figure is issued on site after inspection of the door, itemised into parts and labour, and requires your agreement before work begins.
4. Variation during a job. Where inspection of a dismantled assembly reveals work beyond the agreed figure, work halts and a revised figure is issued for your approval. No charge arises from a variation you have not approved.
5. Written estimates. Estimates issued for a door or opener installation remain valid for thirty days from issue. After that period material costs are re-checked and the figure may be reissued.
6. Diagnostic charge. A diagnostic charge applies to an attended visit. It is credited against the invoice where the repair proceeds and is payable where it does not.
7. Cancellation. A booked visit may be cancelled without charge up to the point a technician is dispatched. Doors ordered to a specified size, colour or style are manufactured to order and cannot be cancelled once placed with the supplier.
8. Service area. Coverage is limited to Wyandotte, Johnson and Leavenworth counties in Kansas. Addresses in Missouri are outside the area and bookings for them are declined at the point of enquiry.
9. Licensing representations. Kansas issues no statewide licence for the garage door trade. Nothing on this site asserts the holding of such a licence by anyone. Where local registration applies, it is business registration with the Unified Government of Wyandotte County or contractor licensing through Johnson County, and you are entitled to ask the attending contractor for evidence of both that registration and their insurance.
10. Site content. Technical descriptions, price ranges and guidance published here are general. They do not constitute an inspection of your door and should not be relied on in place of one. See disclaimer.
11. Intellectual property. The text, structure and images on this site belong to KC Garage Door Tech. Reproduction beyond ordinary personal reference is not permitted.
12. Accuracy of your information. Dispatch depends on the address, postal code and fault description you supply. Where those are inaccurate and a visit is wasted, the diagnostic charge stands.
13. Complaints. The route for raising a problem, and the timeframes that apply to it, are published at complaints policy. That route does not restrict any right you hold under your agreement with the contractor or under Kansas law.
14. Amendment. These clauses may be revised. The version in force is the one published here on the date of your booking.
15. Governing law. Kansas law applies.
